MOURDOCK
ATTENDS 50th LINCOLN DAY DINNER IN SUPPORT OF TREASURER BID
JASPER | April 30, 2006 --
Richard Mourdock, Republican candidate for State Treasurer marked
his 50th Lincoln Day Dinner of the 2006 campaign season on April
30 as he attended the Dubois County Lincoln Day Dinner at the
Jasper Inn, in Jasper, Indiana.
Although his 50th dinner happened to take place close to his
Southwest Indiana home, the campaign for the Republican nomination
has taken him to all four corners of the state. Since announcing
his bid for Treasurer in November, Richard has traveled from Posey
and Switzerland County in the south to Steuben and Lake County
in the north, meeting with delegates and party leaders.
In addition to attending dinners and other events, Richard has
been honored to serve as the keynote speaker for several Lincoln
Day gatherings. In counties such as Pulaski, Greene, Blackford,
Sullivan, Union, LaGrange, and Jasper, Richard did what he does
best: rally the Republican faithful by eloquently reminding them
of the importance of the party's conservative ideals for the continued
success of our state.
"It is always a privilege to address a Lincoln Day crowd.
I'll go anywhere in the state to talk about our Republican message
and why it is so important to Indiana," said Mourdock, who
has logged over 60,000 miles so far in this statewide campaign.
Mourdock, a geologist, businessman, and former Vanderburgh County
Commissioner has already filed the required candidacy papers for
State Treasurer. The Republican nomination will be decided by
1973 delegates at the Republican State Convention June 19-20 in
Indianapolis.
