INDIANAPOLIS | July 17, 2006 -- Hoosiers for Richard Mourdock, the campaign committee for State Treasurer candidate Richard Mourdock has outraised his Democrat opponent by a wide margin according to mid-year campaign finance reports filed this week.

The Mourdock campaign raised $92,758.37 so far in 2006 and has $87,842.76 cash on hand remaining as of June 30, 2006. Added to the $75,668.63 the Mourdock campaign raised in 2005 makes for an impressive total raised of $168,427.00.

Mourdock's Democrat opponent on the other hand had raised just $6250.00 at the end of the reporting period and had a similar amount as cash on hand. The fundraising advantage enjoyed by the Mourdock campaign is a clear sign of momentum going into the fall election.
